“The people of Hawaiʻi are full of Aloha, and teach me so much. They not only inspire me, but they help me in so many ways to continue art. They give and give, and without these people I would not be here today.”
“I have much to learn, but I am grateful that this island has many teachers… from all different walks of life!”
Growing up in Hawaiʻi, Rachel found art as a way to contribute to the Lāhui(community) and perpetuate culture. She credits her growth and learning through art not only to her ʻohana(family), but to Hawaiʻi and its people.
